Want Line-Free, Younger Looking Lips? No Problem
Your lips are one of the most defining features of your face, outlining your smile, communicating your expressions, and puckering up to kiss your loved ones. But as we grow older, our looks change—even our lips. Over time, most people’s lips naturally tighten, flatten and become thinner, and many develop distinctive “lip lines.”
But now there’s an easy solution for achieving fuller, smoother, younger-looking lips without doing anything drastic. Volbella, a new product from Allergan (the makers of Botox, Kybella and Latisse), is a dermal filler for lip lines and lips that provides a soft, subtle augmentation.
At Skin Wellness, we’re proud to announce that Dr. Hartman was chosen by Allergan for its “early experience program,” meaning he was one of a small number of doctors asked to begin using Volbella before it was launched commercially in October 2017. So Dr. Hartman has already developed experience using this product, which was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in May 2016.
Through his experience using Volbella, Dr. Hartman has already seen how the product can provide soft, subtle lip augmentation, which results in smoother, fuller lips without making a drastic statement. Patients who have already received Volbella treatments have been pleased with their results, and product testing shows that the results will last for at least one year.
A Volbella treatment involves injecting gel into your lip area. The gel contains hyaluronic acid, which adds volume to your lips, fills wrinkles and fine lines, and retains moisture to add more contouring and definition. The product already contains lidocaine to lessen the discomfort of the injection, and we can also use numbing cream to make you more comfortable. Most patients are able to return to their daily activities immediately after a Volbella treatment.
Smooth, full, young-looking lips could certainly give you something to smile about. To learn more about Juvederm Volbella and what the treatment can do for your lips, please call our office at 205.871.7332.
