Alison Hayes, CRNP

Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner

Alison Hayes graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham earning a Masters of Nursing in Adult-Geriatric Primary Care. Previously, she worked as a registered nurse at UAB Hospital. Additionally, Alison worked as a registered nurse at Skin Wellness Dermatology for two years.

Alison has received specialty training in dermatology.  Her focus is in general dermatology for adult and geriatric patients.  She is trained to biopsy and diagnose skin cancers, perform cryotherapy, treat acne and rashes, and disorders of hair and nails, as well as counseling her patients on the active role they play in caring for their conditions.

Alison and her husband, Stephen, are Birmingham natives.  They are active members of Covenant Presbyterian Church.  A fitness enthusiast, Alison enjoys pilates, spin classes and is a certified Pure Barre Instructor.

NPs must complete a master’s or doctoral degree program, and have advanced clinical training beyond their initial professional registered nurse preparation. Didactic and clinical courses prepare nurses with specialized knowledge and clinical competency to practice in primary care, acute care and long-term health care settings.
