Dr. Sophie Wang

Board Certified Dermatologist

Sophie Wang, MD attended Northwestern University for undergraduate, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Human Communication Sciences with a minor in Spanish.

She went on to receive her Doctorate of Medicine from the prestigious Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (CWRU SOM), followed by an internship in Internal Medicine at MetroHealth, an academic affiliate of CWRU SOM. Dr. Wang completed a residency in Dermatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she learned the art of diagnosing, treating, and managing all aspects of dermatology. Additionally, she completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the Cleveland Clinic, where she acquired the skills necessary to evaluate and diagnose dermatologic disorders histopathologically. During her training in both Birmingham and Cleveland, Dr. Wang sought out opportunities to work with experts in cosmetic dermatology, which fueled her passion and commitment to providing safe and effective procedures, tailored to each individual. Dr. Wang is certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

Special Interests

Dr. Wang loves many aspects of dermatology - acne, hair loss, skin cancer, complex medical dermatology, disfiguring skin conditions, and skin of color. She understands that because skin disease is visible, its implications transcend physical discomfort. As such, she aims to provide compassionate care that supports her patient's physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. Dr. Wang is also skilled in surgical and procedural dermatology, with a special interest in cosmetic dermatology.

When not seeing patients, you can find Dr. Wang spending time with her family, including a beloved bichon frise named Holly. She loves traveling, dancing, trying new restaurants, reading, cooking and fashion.
